A Small Touching Story!!!

A small touching story mainly for professionals. ..
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?" replied the man.
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"the man said angrily.
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make anhour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make Rs.100 an hour."
SON: "Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down.
SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow Rs.50?"
The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you
can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed.
Think aboutwhy you are being so selfish.
I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior.
"The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the littleboy's questions.
How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to
think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs.50
and he really didn't ask for money very often.
The man went tothe door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you asleep, son?" He asked."No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.
"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier" said theman.
"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you..
Here's theRs.50 you asked for.
"The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" He
yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry
again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.
"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.
"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.
"Daddy, I have Rs.100 now.
Can I buy an hour of your time?
Please come home early tomorrow.
I would like to have dinner with you.
"The father was crushed.
He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.
It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life.
We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent sometime
with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.
Do remember to share that Rs.100 worth of your time with someone you love.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily
replace us in a matter of days.
But the family & friends we leave behind
will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it,
we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

Boss Must Be Like Him ..................

The Perfect Boss . . .
There were about 70 scientists working on a very hectic project.
All of them were really frustrated due to the pressure of work
and the demands of their boss but everyone was loyal to him
and did not think of quitting the job. One day, one scientist came to his boss
and told him - Sir, I have promised to my children that
I will take them to the exhibition going on in our township.
So I want to leave the office at 5 30 pm.
His boss replied "OK, You're permitted to leave the office early today"
The Scientist started working. He continued his work after lunch.
As usual he got involved to such an extent that he looked at his watch
when he felt he was close to completion.
The time was 8.30 PM.
Suddenly he remembered of the promise he had given to his children.
He looked for his boss,,He was not there.
Having told him in the morning itself, he closed everything and left for home.
Deep within himself, he was feeling guilty for having disappointed his children.
He reached home. Children were not there.
His wife alone was sitting in the hall and reading magazines.
The situation was explosive, any talk would boomerang on him.
His wife asked him "Would you like to have coffee or
shall I straight away serve dinner if you are hungry.
The man replied "If you would like to have coffee,
i too will have but what about Children ??"
Wife replied "You don't know ??
Your manager came here at 5.15 PM and
has taken the children to the exhibition "
What had really happened was ...
The boss who granted him permission was observing him working seriously at 5.00 PM.
He thought to himself, this person will not leave the work,
but if he has promised his children they should enjoy the visit to exhibition.
So he took the lead in taking them to exhibition
The boss does not have to do it everytime. But once it is done, loyalty is established.
That is why all the scientists at Thumba continued to work
under their boss eventhough the stress was tremendous.
By the way , can you hazard a guess as to who the boss was..?
He was none other than
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, President of India . . .

Enjoy Life !!!!!

Enjoy Life!!!!!

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together tovisit their old university lecturer. Conversation soon turned intocomplaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the lecturer went to the kitchen and returnedwith a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups: porcelain, plastic, glass, some plain-looking and some expensive and exquisite, telling them tohelp themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the lecturer said "Ifyou noticed, all the nice-looking, expensive cups were taken up, leavingbehind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to wantonly the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems andstress."

"What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciouslywent for the better cups and are eyeing each other's cups. Now, if life iscoffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. Theyare just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn'tchange. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy thecoffee in it."

So don't let the cups drive you...enjoy the coffee instead!!!
